Most of the middle class and the upper middle class are weak at heart and too preoccupied with the task of keeping up their VANITY , thus ending up by turning simple things (e.g. 1+1 = 2) into complex problems (e.g. E=mc^2).

They are just too worried about  :

what other people will think  .... and

what will happen if they lose their job ,
or things like MONEY , how to amass more and more  , always egged on by a persistent sense of insecurity .

and a lot of other such meaningless things ..

Combined with the other bonds of family life , this changes their life in a way similar to a vegetable existence or at most a leashed animal .

Mind it I am not saying that this is true for all , I said MOST ...... because I am a hardcore believer of exceptions and I know that there are exceptions in this case too , but sometimes even the exceptions get converted into a normalized form by too much of external influence .

No wonder that so many revolutionaries in the fields of science , culture , adventure etc ... come from the extremities of the society ... i.e. either very rich or very poor  ..... as for the middle class .. well , they are .... once again I will say ..... mostly spectators .
