Hi All ....
first off ... if you are wondering about the huge delay in making this post .. I got no explanation for that .... just did not feel like it .

I made my last post ... declaring war against my growing body fat...... 75 days hence , I am winning (went down 2 waist sizes as a proof) , a few stubborn pockets of chest and belly fat are still giving a fight but I am weeding them out ..

In case you are curious about the kind of routine I have been following , here goes :

Morning : (8:00 am -10:30 am)
-----------------------------
a glass of milk ,
40 mins of swimming ,
2 eggs and fruits (e.g. 2 bananas , half an apple.)

Lunch (12:00 pm -12:30 pm):
-----------------------------
Salad (boiled potatoes , beans , radishes , carrots , raw tomatoes , meat(occasionally) )

Evening (4:30 pm - 5:00 pm)
------------------------------
Fruits (e.g. half an apple , 1 pear)

Evening (7:00 pm - 8:30 pm)
------------------------------
6 Kms brisk/vigorous walking , followed by
(5 Kms jogging on Mon ,Wed , Fri)
(30 mins workout on Tue,Thurs,Sat,Sun)
and then a glass of milk .

Dinner (9:00 pm - 9:30pm)
--------------------------------
Rice , veggies , fish/eggs/meat (varies)


Have totally given up oil ... (no not even an occasional bite at a fry ) .
Chocolates .. one of my most favorite indulgences ... (at the time I made my last post , I have been eating as many as 10-15 chocolate bars a week) , this though I have not been able to give up totally (never will ) but I can say that in the 76 days since my last post (that is almost 11 weeks) I have eaten a total of 12-13 chocolate bars at max so that is almost ten times lesser .. m proud .. :) ... I have improved much .. very much .. both in physical and mental health ... both of which I now firmly believe are interlinked and interdependent .

A word of advice to those who are trying to lose weight ... a healthy diet is a must .. you should not starve yourself ... when you hear control your eating interpret it as do not overeat ... fill yourselves up but do not overflow ... avoid oily food totally .. and do not listen to every third person who makes a passing casual remark about your efforts in changing your diet or your workout , lifestyle etc (who might be just an acquaintance who in normal circumstances would not be bothered with your life at all but just cannot stop making wisecracks when they see you doing something new . It can be pretty dangerous to listen to these kind of remarks ... might get you demotivated) .. believe me I have had my brush with such lot ... just ignore them .. that is the best way to avoid them .. greet their comments with a smile or a friendly 'lets see' kind of reply in case of persistent ones and that should pull you through .

Remember ... if you take care of your body now when you are strong and able .. later on in your life , it will be your time to sit back and enjoy the benefits .

Over all things have been going good .
